Clear Blue Sky

The western sky was growing brighter with the rapid advance of the shadow's edge. Through my telescope, I watched the Sun's red chromosphere appear along the western limb of the Moon. A bead of sunlight flashed into view and was quickly joined by others which merged together to once again form a blindingly bright crescent. Totality was over as the corona was quickly lost in the glare of the returning Sun.
